No group class, no strangers watching. Just your teacher, your track and a floor with room to get it wrong a few times.

Why couples book

Your song decides the steps, not a syllabus

Nobody arrives at a first lesson with the same picture. Some couples want three minutes of choreography that makes the guests put their drinks down; others would be delighted just to stop swaying on the spot like they’re waiting for a bus. Both are fine, and both start the same way: we play your song and watch how the pair of you move to it before suggesting anything.

From there the teacher works with what’s already natural. If one of you is keen and the other would rather hide behind the cake, the confident half gets the flourishes and the reluctant half gets steps that look deliberate even at half speed. Nothing is pulled from a standard wedding routine, because your track, your height difference and your venue’s floor are nobody else’s.

Lessons run in a private room we hire around Dudley town centre, and that room is already counted in every price on this page. You bring the song and the shoes; the teacher brings the plan, the patience and a very good memory for where you went wrong last time.

Prefer to talk it through first? Ring 07851 966372 and a real person picks up, or leave your number on the form and we’ll call you back.

A rough date and the song (if you have one) is plenty to start. We’ll phone to talk hours and times, then confirm in writing.

How the lessons go

From awkward shuffle to something you’re proud of

Every couple, every pace

01

Listen first

The teacher plays your track, finds the counts and spots where the music lifts, so the big moment lands where it should.

02

Build in pieces

Short sections, learned one at a time and joined together only once each one feels easy on its own.

03

Film it

A quick video at the end of each lesson on your own phone, so practice at home isn’t guesswork.

04

Dress rehearsal

Before the day, a full run in your wedding shoes and something close to the dress, because hems change everything.

Beyond the couple

Other dances we can teach for the day

family

Parent dances

A father-and-daughter waltz or a mother-and-son moment, taught gently in its own hour or folded into the couple’s time.

the party

Bridal party surprise

Bridesmaids, groomsmen or both, with a short, funny routine that interrupts the first dance on cue. Priced by the hour, like everything else here.

style

Any style you like

Slow and romantic, a swing-era bounce, something Latin, or a sudden switch to a party track halfway through. Your teacher adapts to the brief.

Where and when

Private rooms around Dudley town centre

We don’t run a studio of our own. For each lesson we hire a private room with a decent floor near the town centre, and its cost is already inside your price. Evenings and weekends are the usual choice for working couples, and we’ll suggest times when we phone.

Couples come in from Stourbridge, Halesowen, Sedgley, Kingswinford, Brierley Hill and Tipton as well as Dudley itself. If your reception venue will let you onto its floor for a final practice, ask and we’ll see what can be arranged.

What couples tend to ask

Call 07851 966372

Looking for something for the hen do as well? The hen party dance classes run separately, and there are weekly classes if the lessons leave you wanting more.

We both have two left feet. Is a private lesson still worth booking?

It’s exactly who the lessons are for. Most couples who book with us have never had a dance lesson between them, so the teacher starts from walking in time to your track and only adds a step once the last one feels boring.

Can our lessons be squeezed into the month before the wedding?

Yes, and plenty of Dudley couples leave it that late. The two-hour final-fortnight option exists for exactly that situation: one calm, concentrated session inside the last fourteen days that turns a vague plan into something you can repeat under pressure.

Our song is only ninety seconds long in the version we want. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Shorter edits are common, and your teacher can map a routine to any cut you bring, or suggest where to fade the track so the dance finishes on a strong moment rather than drifting off.

What should we wear to the lessons in Dudley?

Comfortable clothes for the early sessions, then the shoes you’ll actually wear on the day as soon as you have them. If the dress has a train or a lot of skirt, bring something of a similar length for the last lesson so turns don’t come as a shock.

Where exactly are the first dance lessons held?

In a private room we hire around Dudley town centre, booked for your time slot. The room charge is already inside the hourly price, and the address comes with your confirmation, so there’s nothing extra to arrange.

Can a parent or the wedding party join one of the sessions?

Yes. A father-and-daughter dance, a mother-and-son moment or a short surprise from the bridal party can all be taught in the same room, either inside your booked hours or as an extra hour at the same rate.
